Gulf War Guinea Pigs

This website is a work in progress and is not yet complete. I will update it as and when I have the energy.

In August 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait leading to a huge build up of multi-national, coalition forces. Prior to the formal initiation of hostilities by these coalition forces (17 Feb 91) some Governments took the decision to inoculate their troops against the possibility of biological warfare and to issue tablets to reduce the impact of chemical warfare.

Detailed information regarding the war itself is freely available on the internet and I do not intend to rehash what has been clearly explained elsewhere. I will provide links to relevant resources covering the war itself on the links page.

This website details actions carried out by the UK MoD, working on behalf of the UK Government, that appears to have led to thousands of UK Gulf War Veterans being ill and how it is made almost impossible to get support even though the MoD has known since AT LEAST 1997 exactly the kind of symptoms affecting the ill veterans.

Interestingly, there are several veterans who are ill, some of whom are even in receipt of a war pension for GWI, but they NEVER left the UK. In contrast, many ill veterans that did go to theatre cannot get a War Pension.

God only knows how the MoD works!
